Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Respiratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will Clean, disinfects, and functionally checks medical equipment, delivers and instructs on medical equipment and supplies to customers in their place of residence, and provides highly responsible patient care services.
Duties
- Strict adherence to the Company policy and procedure manual including state and federal laws
- Performs and is capable of demonstrating all essential Delivery Driver I job functions
- Daily vehicle inspections.
- ALWAYS wear seatbelts.
- Safely drives (day or night) and maintains company vehicles
- Securely loads and stages delivery vehicles in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Functionally checks and selects ordered medical equipment and supplies.
- Prepares work order, patient education material, and other necessary documentation for self and other Delivery Driver personnel when necessary.
- Educates home care customers and other end users on medical equipment and supply use by covering key operating features and performing demonstrations.
- Documents the customer’s response to care or services provided, the actions and interventions taken, and the outcomes of the care or services provided
- Performs assessments and reassessments of each customer’s care or service needs.
- Documents the customer’s response to care or services provided, the actions and interventions taken, and the outcomes of the care or services provided.
- Collects accurate patient information to support care, service and treatment operations, which includes demographic, billing, and medical information.
- Secondary on-call duties.
Requirements
- 3 months DME medical equipment/oxygen equipment knowledge/setup/teaching and work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. No professional certificate or licensure required, although preferred.
- Must demonstrate practical knowledge of cleaning techniques and processes applicable to the industry.
- Applicant must have a clean state criminal background and federal sex offender check, clean drug test, valid driver’s license and pass a driving skill test.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, as needed, and have the ability to demonstrate effective time management skills while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Requires the ability to safely operate a company vehicle; stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; strength to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing up to 100 pounds as well as climb multiple flights of stairs.
